VINYASA YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

Find your voice, live your practice, teach from the heart

Welcome to our 200-hour vinyasa yoga teacher training!

For those who are ready to explore yoga beyond the poses, this 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training is more than just learning how to teach. It is a space for personal exploration and growth, where you develop the skills to guide others with clarity and purpose.

Built on the foundation of yoga's traditions and wisdom, this training is a journey inward, helping you understand yourself and integrate what you learn both on and off the mat.

Guided by a team of experienced teachers, you will gain clear, hands-on tools to teach with joy and purpose. We focus on helping you develop a style that feels natural to you, and share your love for yoga in a way that feels personal and authentic.

This training goes beyond the physical practice. It is a personal development experience, helping you make choices that feel right for you and show up as the best version of yourself.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM OUR TEACHER TRAINING?

In our Yoga Alliance certified teacher training, Yogaschool Noord and I offer you the elements of yoga: asana, meditation, pranayama, mantra, anatomy, chakras, philosophy, history, Ayurveda, and developing yoga classes. But we will offer you a lot more. Our programme is primarily aimed to provide you with tools to further develop yourself as a human being.

Our training offers you in depth insights in yourself and life. We also dedicate time to dance, tantra, self-inquiry, breathwork, ceremonies and to teach trauma-informed. You will receive a wide and deep insight to base your future journey as a yoga teacher, and foremost, as a lifelong student

Personal development

Our yoga training focuses on personal growth and development. Through this journey, you will gain a deeper understanding of who you are, where your strength lies and what makes you unique as both an individual and a teacher. What sets you apart? How can you show up authentically, even in ways that may feel unfamiliar? We will explore how to be open and real as a teacher, sharing your message from the heart and creating a real connection with others.

This training equips you with all the tools and knowledge you need to teach with clarity and purpose. And if teaching is not your goal, this personal growth experience will help you trust in yourself and share your passions, wisdom, and authentic self with others in any setting.

  • Say hello to a deeper connection with your yoga practice, a clearer sense of direction, and practical tools to support your personal growth. Whether you wish to teach yoga or to enrich your life, this training will help you feel more certain and clear about your next steps.

Selma van der Graaf

Head Teacher

Welcome yogi! My name is Selma, and I'm incredibly excited to dive into the world of yoga with you during this teacher training. My mission is to let you experience the world of yoga, to introduce you to all the insights that yoga has to offer. To provide you with tools that help you get to know yourself better and pass on your passion.

My own yoga journey began out of necessity. I had physical pain and noticed that I always had a rushed feeling in my body. I mostly lived in my head and was constantly running from A to B. Yoga helped relieve my physical complaints and slow down. This made me curious about yoga and led me on the path to taking teacher training courses. At that time, I didn't know if I wanted to become a teacher. I primarily wanted to experience and embody all aspects of yoga.

Yoga is incredibly healing, confronting, and beautiful for me. It helps me deepen my connection with myself and others and broadens my view of the world. And every time I step onto the mat, I discover again that I am meant to inhabit my body and not just my head.

Now my mission is to share and experience everything that yoga has to offer with you. To support you on your personal journey that helps you connect with yourself. To provide you with tools that you will carry with you for the rest of your life. I am looking forward to meeting you!

Breathwork Ceremony and Masterclass Free Movement

My name is Lútzen, and to me, yoga is more than just a physical practice. It’s a journey that helps me step out of my head and connect more deeply with my body and mind.

Through movement and conscious breathing, I find both relaxation and a chance to explore my inner world. In my classes, I share my passion for supporting men on all levels: mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual.

My aim is to create a space where everyone can grow and discover more about themselves, both on and off the mat. I’m excited to be present in the Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training as a breathwork and free movement facilitator.

FAQ

This training is for anyone who wants to dive deeper into yoga and learn more about themselves. Whether you're looking to grow personally, take time for yourself, or prepare to become a teacher, this programme is for you.

This training focuses on vinyasa yoga. This is a form of yoga that brings movement and breath together. We do this in a compassionate way. This means that you learn to teach trauma-informed. We provide you with tools on how to teach for all levels and how to offer everyone in your class space for their own experiences.

You will also be given the space to develop your own style, within the vinyasa yoga style. We offer you knowledge about the basis of the asanas, anatomy and qualities of the asanas, but we also give you space to discover what style suits you based on your own curiosity.

You will also receive other styles of yoga during the training, to experience and to bring experiences from those styles to your own classes.

The most important thing is your curiosity and openness. It is helpful if you have been practicing yoga for a while, either with us or at another studio. You don’t need to master every pose.

Absolutely! This training also provides you with knowledge and practical tools to apply in your daily life. The wisdom that yoga offers can be a valuable addition to your current work situation without the need to become a teacher.

Missing a day can happen. If you happen to miss a whole day due to circumstances, we will provide you with a assignment so that you can make up for the missed knowledge and experience. If you miss too many days, there is a risk that you may not get your certificate. If this happens, we will discuss it during the training.

Attending yoga classes is a great way to prepare for this training. You are also welcome to join my classes on weekends at Nachtegaalstraat or during the week at Bluebirds Zuid.

The training will be in Dutch, unless international students sign up. Then the training will be both in English and Dutch.
